PerfectMatch.com is different than other services because it is for those who are looking for long term relationships and have moved on from just dating. One nice thing about Perfect Match is that they offer what they call the "Ice Breaker" which involves asking a few questions from a list which make it easy to break the ice with your new found friends easier. This is a nice feature because it is somewhat more natural than the very stringent forms that other dating websites have to fill out. All About Perfect Match Ice Breakers (which is unique to Perfect Match) is a neat tool that actually allows you to let another member know you are attracted to them without ever having to send an email or talk to them. These questions are very simple, however thorough enough that one can find out right away if you are interested in someone or not. If you are interested in the person, then you can bookmark their profile to your favorites.
 
PerfectMatch.com has four categories to search from: Keyword, Custom, Personality and Quick. This feature alone is completely different from any other matchmaking site I’ve come across. Personally, I feel this is to break down the search mechanism into four easy to understand topics. Also, PerfectMatch.com brings up matches in slide show format which many particularly like. Keyword Search – For this category, all you do is type in any term that you would like to match with your prospective match. For example, type in basketball and you should get every guy or gal 6 foot 2 and over who has a passion for basketball. Another example would be to type in say Italian and you should get all matches of Italian decent or maybe those who like Italian food!!! We all know how keywords can work. Custom Search – For this category you can enter location, common interests, age, appearance, and so on. Most people we talked to found that the Custom Search feature did not bring up as many matches as say the Keyword Search. Perfect Match differs from eHarmony and others because it doesn’t require a complete questionnaire. It seems to be okay (according to people polled) to leave a few things blank. Again, on other sites, I believe you cannot move on to the next section before completing the one before and so on and so forth. Personality Search – They offer four terms which are emotional, flexibility, temperament and power nature. Once you get the hang of what your supposed to do, the rest is easy in this category and one should get plenty of matches. Quick Search - this is used mainly for location. The program will return matches with pictures of possibilities that live in the same community. One particular feature that many users like is the slide show you can view with your matches. It is so cumbersome on some programs to keep going back and forth with your browser button. This is definitely a big plus for Perfect Match.

There are two profiles one can set up, being the easy profile or detailed profile. If you are more choosy, the Detailed Profile is a must for you. You will get far more matches if you go the Detailed Profile route. The basic profile is extremely easy and user friendly. However, if you want the maximum amount of matches, do the detailed profile. But, allow at least 45 minutes to complete the extra questions. It is well worth your time because you will get many more potential matches this way.
 
Expert on Board: Perfect Match has an expert on board, Dr. Pepper Swartz, PhD, who has 30 plus years of experience as a Relationship Expert and Counselor. She designed the questions you answer with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, a well known medium in the matchmaking field. The questions on their site help to find your favorite methods to communicate, act and respond. Once you fill your answers in, the “system” Pepper designed offersyou’re your possible matches. The comment I keep hearing over and over again is that the whole package Perfect Match has appeals to most everyone and that it is also extremely easy and straightforward to use. Perfect Match may deliver slightly less matches than other services, but these matches are much more compatible with members. Bottom Line: Perfect Match has a tidy program that delivers great results.

User Friendliness: The site’s home page links to every other page on the site. You can manage a profile, look at communication with others, take cool quizzes about yourself, read articles and other neat stuff. For the most part, the site is easy for a seasoned computer user, however, a newbie to computers may find it a little tough to navigate. But, after a few hours, it should become easy for everyone. Users of the site all give high marks to the support received from PerfectMatch. If you have a question, simply email support and they promptly get back to you with friendly instructions.

Overall Review:  Again, as we have mentioned before each site has different whistles and bells, some sites appeal more to certain people than others. Pefect Match seemed as though it would appeal to the most people because of its very straightforward approach. While the search engine delivers spectacular results, one doesn’t get discouraged with too much information to fill out.
